Cryptocurrencies are a relatively new concept. The population at large is generally aware of Bitcoin although it wasn’t the first cryptography-based currency. Today there are literally hundreds of cryptocurrencies from Litecoin and Ethereum to lesser known, so-called alt coins like Zcash, Hush and Monero.

Getting started with cryptocurrency
If you’re new to cryptocurrencies we highly recommend you start your learning journey with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the antecedent of Litecoin, Ethereum, Zcash, Monero and the growing list of coins becoming mainstream today. The basics of Bitcoin will provide a strong foundation to move on to any other digital currency you are interested in.
