There’s no shortage of options for mining software you can choose from. And, most are very good and stable to use. We’ve settled on a few mining programs we’re running in 2021 and wanted to share what we’re using to mine Ethereum and other altcoins, or cryptocurrencies.
Mining Software: Gminer
We’ve been using Gminer mining software to mine Ethash coins, specifically Ethereum (ETH). Gminer was released in 2018 and is capable of mining with either Nvidia or AMD GPUs. Gminer has evolved over time and today can be used to mine the Ethash, ProgPoW, KAWPOW, Equihash and CuckooCycle algorithms.
Mine These Cryptocurrencies with Gminer
The following cryptocurrencies can be mined with Gminer. We’ve also noted the program fee (often called the developer fee, or dev fee) that the developers impose for using the software. We are specifically. mining Ethereum using Gminer from either 2miners or Nanopool. We gave Gminer a shot after a GPU Mining Rig build we did with 3070s and some watecooled GTX 1070 cards.

Mining Software: Nanominer
Since we first began mining a decade ago, we have been fans of Nanopool. So, when they released their own mining software, we didn’t hesitate to give it a try. Nanominer can also mine on mining rigs running AMD video cards or Nvidia video cards. Algorithms supported include Autolykos, Ehash, Etchash, KawPow, Octopus, RandomX, Ubqhash and Verushash.
Zilliqua can also be dual-mined with a few of the cryptocurrencies. There is more about which coins can be dual-mined below.
Mine These Cryptocurrencies with Gminer
Nanominer can mine any of the cryptocurrencies that Nanopool supports. We’ve listed each below as well as developer fees that are assessed. If some of these cryptocurrencies are new to you, give them a look. A couple are even CPU mined as opposed to GPU mined. We are specifically. mining Conflux Network using Nanominer on Nanopool. Conflux Network’s symbol is CFX. and you can learn more on their site.

Merged pool mining means that they are mined within the same pool. Split pool mining means mining in different pools.
